Intermodal Transport
The intermodal transport is a special kind of transport made with the combination of means : trucks + train. It allows goods to travel over long distances.Goods are loaded on this “special” box, that is brought to the closest railroad station. Then the box is moved into the train, up to a railroad station close to destination. Finally, the last stretch, in order to deliver the goods, again on the street. This transport guarantees a lower risk of content damage, a lower transfer cost between different means, and also guarantees a higher speed transport. It is a very flexible and ductile transport, as it satisfies many customers’ requests. Details
